Adaptability for other vehicle brands

Althought these diagnostic fault trees have been developed for the LDV Maxus van, it is feasible that they could be adapted to assist with diagnosis of Bosch EDC 16 systems fitted to other vehicles.

Reference should always be made however to the appropriate brand specific data. Always cross reference component pin data and wiring colours with the correct wiring diagram.

Terminology may also differ. That which is used in these diagnostic fault trees is specific to the LDV brand. Different manufacturers refer to components using their own terminology.
