Diagnostic Scan Tool

This is a one day practical course for the Carman Scan VG diagnostic scan tool. The course is aimed at existing users at all levels who would like to learn how to get the best from its features and functions. Those considering purchasing the Carman Scan VG would also find this course to be a useful introduction to the tool. The course covers the following main subjects:

  • Technical overview of Carman Scan VG main features, functions and accessories
  • Technical information data base and wiring diagrams
  • Sensor simulator and failure symptom analysis  
  • Oscilloscopes and multi meter functions
  • Testing and diagnosis of sensors and actuators using oscilloscope and technical information database
  • Diagnostic scan tool functions
  • Testing and analysis of vehicle system’s live data and actuator control functions
  • Advanced user functions
  • Practical fault finding and diagnosis
  • Course assessment, review and feedback

Course aims and objectives are to give a detailed technical overview of all of the  features and functions of the Carman Scan VG diagnostic scan tool. The course comprises of a range of practical activities on live vehicles further supported by presentations and technical discussions.

There is an end of course test comprising of a short multiple choice questionnaire and those who successfully complete the course will receive a certificate from AK Training and Maverick Technology in recognition of their attendance.

The Carman Scan VG course has been developed by AK Training in partnership with  Maverick Technology as part of an on going technical training programme to support their product range.


 
 

Delegates are welcome to bring their own  Carman Scan VG along to use on the course if they wish. Fully functioning demonstration models are also available for use during the course.

By the end of the course, delegates will have gained greater knowledge and understanding of the features and functions of the Carman Scan VG diagnostic scan tool and will be able to apply what they have learnt when carrying out work on customer’s vehicles.
