As far back as year 2000, bus networked systems have been as much a part of modern vehicles as the engine management and anti lock brakes.

Recent technologies such as FlexRay are filtering down from premium brand vehicles just as CAN bus did throughout the nineteen nineties. Modern vehicles, both light and heavy, utilise multiple bus networks, often also incorporating LIN and MOST bus systems.

As technologies move forward, so too is there a need to revise the approach to fault finding and diagnostics. The CAN bus and integrated systems course from AK Automotive takes a generic and detailed look at modern bus networked vehicle electronic systems.

The course is based upon many years hands on experience by Tony Kitchen of AK Automotive working with CAN bus enabled vehicles across a variety of vehicle brands.

All practical sessions are carried out on live road going vehicles. There are no simulations or test rigs.
