Test instruments

Components such as solenoid valves may be functioning correctly electrically but have a mechanical fault instead. Testing the mechanical functionality of components requires additional tools such as pressure gauges and vacuum/pressure pumps.

Used in conjunction with other equipment, these additional test instruments are essential in proving the mechanical functionality of some components.

The course explains how to integrate use of appropriate test instruments into component fault finding procedures.
