IMI Awards Ltd is the leading awarding body for the motor industry and offers a range of motor industry qualifications.

IMI Awards Ltd also operates a scheme whereby training organisations can be accredited with the status of Approved Assessment Centre by IMI Awards Ltd.

A network of Approved Assessment Centres exists throughout the UK ranging from prestige car manufacturers to independent training providers such as AK Training.

The aim of this scheme is to give enhanced credibility and recognition of training programmes and individual achievements through a 'Quality Assured Award' assessment and certification process.

Those who attend and successfully complete courses run by an Approved Assessment Centre receive a Quality Assured Award (QAA) certificate from IMI Awards Ltd.

Under the QAA scheme, standards of training and assessment from Appproved Assessment Centres are constantly monitored by IMI Awards Ltd. Centres are visited regularly by an external verifier whose key role is to provide support as well as ensure that standards are maintained within the organisation.
